British and Irish Legend George Kruis Leads Video Analysis Session

During this week’s Games session, a group of senior players were treated to a video analysis session from Saracens’ star George Kruis. George, who has been part of our Director of Rugby Internship programme with Tom Lindsay this academic year, has extended his remain Mill Hill by agreeing to stay on for the next academic year, working closely with Mr Liffchak and learning what it takes to become a Director of Rugby.

George commented “It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to work with the students and staff at Mill Hill. I have certainly gained a deeper understanding of the challenges a Director of Rugby faces day-to-day and it is really encouraged me to think about life after rugby. I’m looking forward to helping Mr Liffchak continue to develop the rugby programme at Mill Hill next year and cannot wait to get to work with the players next season.”

George employed techniques that Saracens and England use to ensure the sessions are focused yet fun. The detailed analysis session was interspersed with games, physical challenges and competition to keep it fresh and productive. It was an absolute pleasure to watch George imparting his extensive knowledge to the boys. Finally, we wish George and the rest of the Saracens team all the best for the big game against Wasps at the weekend.

Mill Hill Lower Sixth pupil Matt Mahoney 1st XV and Saracens Academy player said: “What a unique opportunity for aspiring young players at Mill Hill to get to work with the current world-class players who are willing to share their valuable experience with us. Since joining Mill Hill School my rugby has been taken to new levels and opportunities like this and getting to work with the coaches at the School are helping me realise my potential.”
