Year One PSHE
This week in PSHE, the children found an injured ‘friend’ in the class. What had happened? How did he hurt himself? Who could help him?
Doctor Barnett came to the rescue and looked after him giving him the treatment he needed after falling over in the playground. Once everyone knew their friend was ok, the children experienced life as a doctor, nurse and a patient using role play and also experimented with pretend medical paraphernalia. We discussed how lucky they were to have people who help us in times of need and how they always have the Right to Medical Care.
