This week in Music we have been looking at pitch. Pupils demonstrated their ability to recognise high and low pitches through kinaesthetic movement, aural and visual learning. We sang a song about ‘Rockets and Rain’, played ‘Giants and Ants’ and had to guess where the coin was – each one facilitating a different learning style.
Year One this week have been looking at how to improve their singing voices, thinking about breathing, enunciating and diaphragmatic control. Furthermore, all classes have become familiar with their parts in the Summer Showcase Performance and are beginning to include expression and performance directions.
