This week our beautiful golden egg hatched to reveal a baby dragon! It brought with it some really stretchy slime that we have enjoyed playing with. Unfortunately we had no instructions on how to care for our dragon, so the children decided to work it out for themselves. Firstly, they built a very comfortable nest and fed it some of the herbs we have been growing in the garden. They also decided that a baby dragon would love to listen to some stories and they were right.
We have been reading an incredible book call ‘Tell Me Dragon’ by Jackie Morris. The illustrations in this book are beautiful and they inspired us to create our own dragon which you can see when you visit Nursery.
