We went to the zoo, zoo, zoo…!
Year 2 had an amazing day out at London Zoo. We were blessed with warmth and sunshine that followed us through our day. We went to the zoo to primarily look at the tigers. Since the arrival of our own tiger cubs, we have been becoming tiger experts and so thought the opportunity to actually see real tigers was fantastic. The children were amazed by the sheer size of the tigers, the length of their tails and the size of their paws.
We also participated in an educational workshop which was focused on camouflage. The children worked in small groups to answer different questions placing large magnets on the correct answers. Lexi, Joshua, Tiana and Sammy assisted the lady by dressing up as tigers and arctic foxes to demonstrate the advantages of camouflage.
