Nursery have been singing and moving to nursery rhymes experimenting with different tempos and deciding which one we thought was most suited to the song and why.
Reception have been pushing the range of their voices and thinking of different ways they can sing i.e sadly, confidently, shyly, loudly! They have enjoyed choosing their favourites and leading the class by singing on their own – very impressive and confident.
Year 1 have been moving independently to the different tempos in the Indian chant ‘Raghupati Raghava Rajaram’ – they added bells to their ankles which highlighted the different speeds and had fun dancing in groups to the different sections.
Year 2 have been improving the way they critique one another and I have been impressed with not only how positive they are about each other’s work but also how they are beginning to offer some wonderful ideals to help everyone to improve. This has been apparent in normal class time but also in task time.
‘Let’s Twist Again’ is coming on nicely and we have been practising a dance break in the middle!
