This week the children have had great fun celebrating both bonfire night and Diwali.
We created our own firework pictures using bright colours and described the fireworks we saw. We looked at the celebration of Diwali and made our very own Diva lamps using clay. We even made rangoli patterns outside using coloured sand.
To develop our fine motor skills this week we made squares using beads and jewels and used coloured stickers to make a number 1.
After asking the children what they would like to know more about in relation to India we have looked at tigers and elephants in more detail. We found some non-fiction books in the library and read some very interesting facts.
Today we took part in a nursery assault course in the garden. We had great fun taking it in turns to move through the course developing our gross motor skills as we completed it.
