This week children in Year 2 have been busy working on their batting and racket skills.
In teams, they took turns to send and receive different sized balls to another person. We were focussing on the underarm throw and cross finger catch skills with one and two hands. They also had to run with a bat/racket and ball in different directions and at different speeds. The teams had to pass on objects, whist running, to the next person.
Finally, the children had a bit of a competition. In pairs, they had to maintain a rally of floor tennis and count how many consecutive hits each couple could do.
