This week, all Reception children have been learning about relays. We discussed the importance of working as a team and taking turns.
The pupils learned that, in order to be successful whilst taking part in relay races, everyone needs to work together and complete tasks in as little time as possible.
We used different pieces of equipment including hoops, balls and bean bags. We even took part in a caterpillar relay where the players lined up, one behind the other, in a straight line, and had to shuffle along on their bottoms whilst holding the feet of the person behind them. Once the entire caterpillar crossed the line then that was the winning team. We all had a lot of fun!
