This week all children in Grimsdell had the opportunity to take part in a dance and storytelling workshop based on our topic for the term: India.
They immersed in a wonderful adventure exploring Diwali, the festival of lights. They played different characters, moved and danced through Indian tunes.
They also learnt that this festival is one of the most well known South Asian religious festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs, rejoicing the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
Then, the pupils put some of these actions into dance moves and learnt some basic Bollywood moves. This was followed by a group dance and then a choreography session where they learnt a short routine.
