We started off our week full of excitement about fireworks that we had seen or heard over the weekend. The children loved acting out the noises and shapes the fireworks made. We wrote about fireworks and made paintings full of colour and glitter.
The children enjoyed learning about another celebration this week too, Diwali! We made Divas, wrote cards to our friends, looked at Rangoli patterns and learnt about the story of Rama and Sita.
The number of the week this week was 7. We have begun to look at how we can make seven using different colour objects to visualise the ways number 7 is made and then looking at the number sentence. We have also learnt about estimation, making close guesses about the number of objects we can see, writing the number and then counting.
