This week in PE the nursery children had fun using different size hoops to continue developing their spatial awareness. We used hoops to help us understand and organise the knowledge of objects in relation to oneself in a given space. We practised jumping patterns in and out of a hoop and we ended up the lessons playing Thomas the Tank. Each pupil had to stand inside a hoop – the train station. On a signal the trains had to move about between stations until the whistle is blown so the trains had to make their way back to their own station. When they were in the station they had to pull the hooter twice to show they have arrived!
