A great morning’s experience as Belmont competed against 4 other schools to build a wind resistant tower. The rules were simple; build a 1 meter high free-standing structure that could withstand the wind generated by an electric fan. The children must have listened very well to the research material on the Shanghai Tower, as 8 of the 10 teams passed the test! This made for some creative judging that left Merchant Taylors Prep the overall winners…..look out for a more detailed report from the Belmont students after half term.
Well done to Harry, Yuliya, Lena and Daniel (Belmont Team 1), and to Allison, Lucy, Jaik and Olivia (Belmont Team 2) for their hard work and positive engagement throughout the morning.
