Charles P and Hal G, both Old Millhillians, once again teamed up to play in the U21 Eton Fives National Championships. This was a nice occasion as the last time they played together was as the Schools first pair while they were both still pupils here. Hal now plays his fives with Oxford University and Charles is a pupil at Birmingham University.
They played extremely well in the morning, winning their group with ease before beating an Oxford University pair in the Semi-final in a very close match to make it to the final. Unfortunately, the final didn’t go their way, losing out 2-0 (15-11, 13-11). However, this is still a fantastic achievement as they became the third pair of Millhillians to reach the final of a national championships.
