This week saw the Lower Sixth Drama pupils present an extract from ‘Beautiful Burnout’ by Bryony Lavery. This was the culmination of three months work on Frantic Assembly and the pupils showed themselves to be diligent, creative and physically fit.
The play is set in the tough world of a Scottish boxing gym and follows one young boxer from beginner to a life of brain damage after his first professional fight. Oscar, Noah, Azzurra, Daisy, Braden, Will and Leo demonstrated some focussed and energetic physical work with strong and believable characterisation. Well done to all involved!
