Teen Tech Success

The DT Department are delighted to announce that Upper Sixth pupil Finlay M (School) has been chosen as a Teen Tech Finalist for his A2 DT project – a hypermobility aid for children. Inspired by his understanding of this painful condition, Finlay made a wearable device that works to help prevent the hyperextension that can lead to muscle strain and discomfort for young sufferers. Rather wonderfully, his product has been designed to reflect the look of a superhero costume, both to improve user engagement and reduce anxiety.

Dani Longhurst, Teen Tech Project Manager writes; Many congratulations, this is a huge achievement, the quality of the entries was absolutely outstanding and the amount of work finalists have put in to their ideas is evident throughout.

The final will be held on Monday 24 June at The Institute of Engineering and Technology, London. If Finlay succeeds in winning his category it will be the fourth time in three years that Mill Hill School will have achieved success in this UK wide competition.
