The Jaguar Challenge regional finals were held on Tuesday in Reading. Two Year 6 teams from Belmont made it through, The Rebel Racers – Maisie 6RA, Lucia 6RA, Parul 6PF, Kimaaya 6PF, Ruby 6JN and The Aero Taches – Luca 6PF, James 6RB, Louis 6PF, Daniel 6JN, Elliot 6PF.

It was a great but challenging day where both teams had various tasks they were being judged on.

Part of the process included:

  • A talk about the production of their car, how they came up with their team name and logo, making a pit display, analysing tyre pressure and finally racing the cars they had produced.
  • The Rebel Racers won a trophy for ‘Best Pit Display’
  • The Aero Taches won a trophy for ‘3rd’ place in the competition.

A fantastic achievement for both teams who are the first pupils to have been entered and qualified into the finals. Well done!
