Supporting Your Child Through Sport, a presentation from Richard Cheetham MBE

For those parents who spend their weekends standing on the side of a Hockey Astro, Football and Rugby pitch or driving to the latest swimming and netball competitions, we all want our children to enjoy participating in their chosen sport, and as parents, we want to support them in the best way possible.

As part of our Sports Development Programme at Mill Hill School, Richard Cheetham MBE will be presenting to parents of children throughout Mill Hill Foundation on ‘Supporting Your Child through Sport’. This will explore how parents can best support their children in their sporting endeavours. We will also be explaining the Mill Hill Foundation’s coaching philosophy in the hope that parents and coaches can work together to help all our young players enjoy their sport and achieve to the best of the ability.

The event will take place on Tuesday 21st May 2019, and the schedule for the evening is as follows:

6.30pm – Drinks and snacks in The Large
7pm – Presentation in The Large
8pm – Q&A
8.30pm – Close

Richard Cheetham MBE is considered a world authority on coach education and in 2018 won th UK Coach Developer of the year at the UK Coaching Awards. He is a Senior Fellow in Sports Coaching at the University of Winchester where his research focuses on a more holistic approach to coaching working with numerous sports governing bodies in their coach education and development programmes including British Cycling, British Triathlon, England Cricket, the RFU and Elite World Cycling.
