Years 1 & 2 have been getting stuck in to learning their end of year productions, enthusiastically throwing themselves in to different roles and beginning to learn the songs. It has made me really excited to rehearse with them over the next few weeks. There is a huge difference in Year 2’s confidence from the first term when we were rehearsing our Christmas show, ‘The Inspectors’. The children are really comfortable taking on different characters using expression and characterisation including accents without direction, it’s a real joy to watch. Year 1 will be performing – ‘The Snail and the Whale’ and Year 2 will be performing – ‘Pirates versus Mermaids’.
