In Reception this week we have focused on the story Tiddler, by Julia Donaldson, about a little fish who tells a lot of stories! After reading the story we decided to use our imaginations to come up with our own tall tales to explain why Tiddler was late. We also used the story to think about why it is important to tell the truth, and what happens when we tell too many stories. In Phonics we have been revising all our previously learned sounds and tricky words, and spotting them in sentences. In Maths we have been looking at conservation of number and subitising, using dice, tens frames, dominoes and toy dinosaurs to instantly recognise amounts without having to count them.
