Wellbeing Week at Belmont

Wellbeing week at Belmont saw children take part in a huge range of activities; from Tai Chi to working up a sweat on smoothie bikes! Throughout the week the timetable was supported by 58 street and a wide range of professionals. Their team provided some insightful information to the children on the power of breathing, posture and of course nutrition. Students participated in mindfulness activities using Headspace and heard from an osteopath and nutritionist about the importance of healthy minds and bodies. While these messages are delivered daily to the children the week helped them to hear different voices and also once again raised the profile of wellbeing across the Foundation. Staff and parents also took part by joining running club, nature walks, yoga and fitness club this week, before sitting down to enjoy wellbeing breakfasts with different daily themes such as ‘eat the rainbow’! It was amazing to see parents enjoying activities with the children and staff. The week really highlighted to the children the importance of wellbeing at Belmont, whilst equally supporting them in the future and their lives beyond Belmont.

A big thank you to Mr Symes for putting together such a wonderful week of activities and equipping our students with skills for life that they will carry on for the remainder of the term and beyond.
