Foundation Day 2019 saw the sun shining out of a clear blue sky! Following speeches, awards and celebrations the girls took to the turf to represent their houses in the annual Inter House Hockey Tournament. As always, the girls stepped up to the occasion and teams with mixtures of girls from all years played six a side hockey.
These were highly contested fixtures with the Outstanding Player of the Day Award going to Seona W (Atkinson) for her contribution to Atkinson’s run into the final. The standout team of the day was the inaugural Winfield House who competed to a high standard regardless of their lower total numbers in house. They will be a team to watch in the future and well done to the girls in their first year at Mill Hill.
House spirit was evident throughout the afternoon and the final game saw GK vs single player in shuffles best of three Murray vs Atkinson! Murray successfully defended their title!
Well done to all the girls who competed, to their coaches for their expertise and support and the parents that watched the proceedings.
