This week all children in Reception were getting familiar with handling quoits. They worked on their manipulative skills and also practised aiming, throwing and accuracy.
They explored how to balance the quoit on different parts of the body and at the end of the lesson they played ‘floor target’. In pairs with a hoop and a quoit and a bean bag to each child, they had to stand the same distance away and take it in turns to aim the beanbag at the target. 1 point = hoop; 2 points = quoit!!!
