This week in Reception the children have been continuing to share their boxes with the class and we have had some special visitors sharing their own boxes. Mrs Simon came to tell the children all about her own interests, showing all the items in her box and reading the children one of her favourite poems. Mrs Harvey, our librarian also came to share some of her special things and the children really enjoyed trying on her swimming goggles. As part of our introduction to phonics we have been singing some nursery rhymes in class and for maths we have been exploring the number 1, how we can represent it in different ways, collecting 1 of many objects outside and placing 1 in different positions on a 10s frame.
