What a productive week it has been in Year One! We began the week with the story of The Little Red Hen and the children recalled and retold the story while sequencing the events. We also used drama to create our own scenes from the story and the children produced freeze frames of some of the characters in the story. This led us on to making our own bread in Task Time with the help of one of our Year One parents. The story also taught us some morals about perseverance and reaping the rewards of your hard work.
Also this week, Year One held our Special Person Harvest Tea Party where the children were the hosts for the afternoon and took responsibility for looking after their special guests. It was delightful seeing so many happy faces out in the glorious sunshine!
