This week in Year One, we have continued to learn through farmers’ boots and have investigated a range of animals and their features. We have used these to help us categorise the animals in Science and we have also learned about where certain food comes from, such as different meats, dairy products and crops. In literacy, the children have also learned that a noun is a naming word for a person, place or thing. On Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our specialist Art teacher, Mrs Maureen Burgess, who taught the children a range of artistic techniques to create their own farm animal drawings and paintings.
