Y6 Trip to Whipsnade Zoo

Much fun was had on the trip to Whipsnade Zoo. As part of their science curriculum, linked to the topic: Life & Living Organisms, Y6 pupils experienced the wide variety of species first hand.

The highlights included:

  • seeing the giraffes at feeding time
  • swarms of butterflies landing on their colourful bags in the butterfly house
  • exotic birds of paradise flying above their heads
  • close up views of the lion’s den

They also dodged many a rain shower & I am pleased to report survived being prey themselves!
