Sixth Form Business and Economic pupils recently enjoyed a talk by Mr Robin Nuttall, a partner at McKinseys and expert in the field of business ethics. The presentation, entitled What is the Purpose of Business?, was both engaging and interesting and focused on some of the significant changes taking place in the approach to Corporate Social Responsibility, using real world examples from some key multinational corporations. This led to a lively discussion on this important aspect of business strategy and behaviour. It was an extremely thought provoking presentation and raised a number of questions which will stimulate future class discussions on this subject.
