This week 25 pupils from all year groups participated in the final of Barnet School’s Cross Country fixture at Allianze Park. Shaftesbury Barnet Athletics Club run these races as part of the selection series for the Schools Championship races held at Harrow School in the New Year.
Senior boy, Mittio (School) and junior girl Ella (Murray) both recorded outstanding performances winning their races; Ella’s performance followed her victory in the Fourth Form House Cross Country, which took place earlier this half term.
Anastasia (Murray) placed third in the Senior Girls race from a strong field of competitors; she will join them in Harrow to complete the challenging hilly course representing Barnet. We wish all the cross country runners well and look forward to seeing them compete at Radley College in the Road Relays series next term.
