Wonderful Winter Wonderland – it truly was! A bright, crisp winter’s day was the perfect backdrop to this year’s event. Santa thrilled the little ones, arriving to the cheerful voices of the Junior Choir, setting the scene for another very memorable afternoon.
The school was filled with happy children; it was a joy to see them dashing between the stalls and activities, and enjoying the many treats on offer. The wide variety of external stalls offered fabulous seasonal shopping for the grown-ups too!
Friends of Belmont love organising Winter Wonderland! It’s a gift to the children for all their hard work over the long Autumn term. It brings the school together and raises funds for both Belmont and other deserving charities. We will let you know how much money we raised very soon.
We would like to say a few thank yous, to those who helped make the day so special and run smoothly; thank you, teachers, admin staff, caterers, groundsmen, security staff and cleaners – without your support Winter Wonderland couldn’t happen! Thank you, Belmont families, for your many and varied donations, which make the event so much fun, and, of course, for the very generous prizes for the raffle and the silent auction.
A special thank you to; Mr McNulty, for the amazing silent art auction artworks; Mrs Perrin, for organising the much enjoyed festive sing-a-long; Mr Fleet, for all his guidance, and Mr Butcher, for stepping up to the challenge of filling the big red suit!
A massive thank you to each of our major sponsors: LRC Group, ACAI Group, EPF, and Galliard Homes.
And finally, a big thank you to everyone that came to Winter Wonderland on Saturday – it is the children and their families who make this event so very special.
Wishing you all a happy and restful holiday, and a very prosperous 2020!
