It has been lovely to see all of the children return to school enthusiastic and ready to learn after the break. Reception have been getting to grips with rests in a song and finding different ways to show the rest exploring different sounds and words they could use. They have also been finding the heartbeat of songs and showing the beat on their bodies initially using body percussion and then on the percussion instruments. The children are becoming very familiar with these instruments and are independently starting to explore different ways of playing them. It was lovely to see this creativity which was rewarded with ‘Ursula the Unicorn’ one of our learning friends.
