On Wednesday our senior basketball team joined UCS Hampstead in taking a minute’s silence before their game in memory of the late Kobe Bryant. The team then enjoyed an amazing game against a very strong opponent; a hard-fought 1st half followed by a brilliant 3rd and 4th quarter led to a win by an impressive 17 points.
All our players displayed great determination, teamwork and above all a never-give-up attitude which they carried with them until the very last second of the game. Special commendations must go to Renat S (Priestley) who gave a great defence against the opposition’s best player; Mishari A-B (Priestley) who showed excellent composure and Braden T (Priestley) our Captain and top scorer of the day.
Congratulations to the team for securing their spot in the finals with two games to spare and still top of the League.
