E-Safety Week

As part of our ongoing work on keeping safe whilst using internet technology, we held an assembly and had themed tutorials focusing on how to stay safe and how to recognise an online threat if one comes along.

Pupils looked at phishing and pharming attacks, and on how to keep you information safe.  Activities in the tutorials included listing what kind of data may be available online, how to store it safely, creating safe passwords, promoting good habits and some even entered into the Matrix Challenge (Matrix Challenge is a FREE cyber security challenge created and organised by the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Cyber Crime Unit (YHRCCU), and is available to all 11-17 year olds residing in the United Kingdom).

As part of our co-curricular activities, some pupils are learning Computer Science topics outside of normal classes.
