We are very proud of Old Belmontian Dan Stren (Danes) who has set up the incredible initiative @feed.the.nhs. Working in partnership with @youdonatewedeliver they are helping to provide food to key workers at 17 local hospitals and 8 ambulance hubs using the catering facilities at Mill Hill School.
Dan sadly had a major motorbike accident (five years ago) which resulted in him requiring over 11 operations and is extremely grateful for all that the NHS has done for him. He set up this project after being furloughed from his new job as a way of giving something back. ‘Feed the NHS’ started four days ago and they have already raised £1.5k. Yesterday they created 200 beef cottage pies with steamed broccoli and red wine cabbage plus a vegetarian alternative. ‘You Donate, We Deliver’ are then making sure all the meals go to the correct place.
