We are pleased that we have been able to offer our catering facilities to support ‘Feed the NHS’, an incredible initiative set up by an Old Belmontian and Old Millhillian Dan Stern (2003-2012; Danes and Weymouth) who is working in partnership with @youdonatewedeliver. They are helping to provide food to key workers at 17 local hospitals and eight ambulance hubs.
Dan sadly had a major motorbike accident (five years ago) which resulted in him requiring over 11 operations and is extremely grateful for all that the NHS has done for him. He set up this project after being furloughed from his new job as a way of giving something back. ‘Feed the NHS’ started four days ago and they have already raised £1.5k. Yesterday they created 200 beef cottage pies with steamed broccoli and red wine cabbage plus a vegetarian alternative. ‘You Donate, We Deliver’ are then making sure all the meals go to the correct place.
