A Level Success

Despite the challenges of this year’s results process, with grades hinging on standardisation as never before, Mill Hill pupils have achieved excellent outcomes and demonstrated their characteristic breadth of interest both in course choices and university destinations. As ever, there are many individual success stories, and 36% of all passes were graded A* or A compared with the national average of 28%.

With over 40 universities represented, popular destinations this year include Birmingham, Nottingham, Sussex, Warwick, Edinburgh, Oxford, UCL and Imperial, and a significant proportion of our leavers have now secured places at their universities of choice, with further confirmations pending.

Over 40 courses have been chosen by Millhillians, with Psychology, History, Geography, International Business, Politics, Biomedical Science and Law amongst the most popular, and others ranging through Veterinary Medicine, Drama, Filmmaking, Mathematics, Philosophy, Economics, Fashion and Robotics Engineering.

We congratulate our class of 2020 on their A Level success, which has rewarded their talents and efforts, and those of their teachers, in the face of exceptional circumstances.

We continue to support those pupils whose university place is not yet secured, and to assist in the appeals process within the latest guidelines, acknowledging the unprecedented downgrading both for Millhillians and nationally.
