Born Again Fabrics: Maddie and Chloe Win The Tenner Challenge

Two of our current Remove pupils Maddie S and Chloe C have won the Best Overall Business in the 11-14s age group, in Young Enterprise’s The Tenner Challenge, for their eco brand Born Again Fabrics.

The Tenner Challenge is set up by Young Enterprise, and is a national challenge encouraging students to develop an enterprising mindset and prepare them for the world of work. Contenders must make as much profit as possible from just £10!

This is the second year in a row that they have won.

The girls made and sold a variety of products made from recycled material, including beeswax wraps, reusable cloth make-up wipes and bags.

Mr Dweck, Head of Innovation and Enterprise, commented that ‘these two young women are the epitome of the type of young entrepreneurs we are developing in the Mill Hill school foundation. I am very proud of them both.’

A great achievement girls, well done!

The virtual awards ceremony will be held this Thursday 1 October 2020.

Maddie and Chloe made the video below, discussing their experience working as team to create Born Again Fabrics. This will be played as a part of the virtual ceremony on Thursday.
