One of the memorable highlights of the first week of term has been the return to Chapel after many months; our beautiful and beloved ‘spiritual home.’
It is a place where we gather together as a school community for morning peace and reflection, focusing our attention on the values that we seek to instill.
Currently, rather than pupils attending services with the rest of their House, attendance is in Year Group Bubbles. We are turning this “necessity into a virtue” as we seek to develop a strong sense of identity, friendship and responsibility across each Year Group.
This has already begun to manifest itself with small Year Group Choirs singing hymns and anthems for their peers to enjoy, during this period when we can return to Chapel but congregational hymn singing is forbidden.
We very much look forward to increasing pupil participation in leading these services as we all settle down into the new term.
