Meet Maggie, the chef here at Grimsdell.
Maggie has worked at the school for ten years, making and serving lunch every day to all our staff and pupils.
During lockdown lots of parents even complained that the children moaned their food wasn’t as good as Maggie’s!
Maggie is a very important part of the Grimsdell furniture and, as Mrs Ticehurst said – ‘her cakes are to die for!’
We spoke to her to find out a little bit more about her, and to ask her what she loves the most about Grimsdell.
Can you describe Grimsdell in three words?
‘Homely, fun and…I can’t think of another, there are too many nice words!’
What is your favourite thing about Grimsdell?
‘I love that all the teachers are so dedicated to the school and the children. I love all the children too and Grimsdell is really like my family too – I just love coming to work everyday!’
What was your favourite lunch when you were at school?
‘Liver and onions!’
Something you didn’t know about me is…
‘I really like watching Spongebob Squarepants on the telly!’
