This summer Jyun-Peng (Chris) (Lower Sixth, St Bees – a Fifth Former at the time) achieved his Silver Crest Award for completing his Maths STEM project.
A CREST award is given by the British Science Association and is only awarded if the pupils complete their project and produce a report meeting the high standard of the organisation’s requirements and criteria.
This is truly an outstanding achievement, not to mention that Chris completed this project during lockdown.
Most impressively, he was able to work in liaison with the STEM club teacher online, and incorporated all feedback into his report.
The project was assessed externally through British Science Association, and he passed with flying colours. Very well done indeed!
