Meet Marlene, Head Chef here at Belmont.
Marlene has worked at Belmont for eight years now, and she became Head Chef back in 2014. We are all very grateful for the delicious food she makes for us every single day!
What is your favourite thing about Belmont?
My favourite thing about working here is the people. Everyone here, the pupils and teachers, are so nice and the pupils really do make me laugh. It is like a family, and the catering team are definitely made to feel like a part of that which is lovely.
Can you describe Belmont in three words?
Family, inspirational (there are are so many hardworking teachers here!) and supportive.
What was your favourite lunch to have when you were at school?
My favourite lunch at school was definitely roast dinner, chocolate pudding and chocolate custard – yum!
Can you tell us something we might not know about you?
I actually played the violin when I was at school, but I gave it up! I was also on the netball team.
