Meet Ms Kelly, Attendance Officer here at Mill Hill School.
We spoke to her to find out a little bit more about her and her role at Mill Hill School.
What is your role as the school Attendance Officer?
‘Attendance Officer’ sounds so official, but really my role is to ensure pupils are safe. I promise I am much nicer than my job title sounds! Really, I see my main role as safeguarding pupils.’
How long have you worked here at Mill Hill?
‘I’ve worked here for two years now – it’s flown by!’
What is your favourite thing about Mill Hill?
‘I love walking in the grounds, the food and my colleagues – I can truly say I have made some lifelong friends here.’
Can you describe Mill Hill in three words?
‘Historic, community and busy!’
Something you didn’t know about me is…
‘I still play hockey at Southgate Hockey Club. I started playing back there six years ago after a very long time…’
What are you most looking forward to about the upcoming year at Mill Hill?
‘That’s easy! I’m really looking forward to having more contact with the pupils. With lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions its been really hard and I don’t see them as much as I’d like.
I really want the pupils to know that they can always come and talk to me. I also have a good stock of face masks to give out!’
