This week the children in Year 2 took part in a wide game linked to the creative curriculum.
They played ‘Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires.’ We made precious stones using colourful shining sheets and also purchased loads of small playing gems.
We went to the Forest School area and hid them in the woods. The children were divided in four teams and had 20 minutes to find as many gems and precious stones as they could! Then, they had to count the final loot!
Sapphires = 10 points, rubies =50 points; emeralds +100points.
