Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Partnership Announcement

The Mill Hill School Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of a new partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, helping further develop our football programme at the school.

We are incredibly excited to be partnering with one of the leading football clubs in the world’s most acclaimed and successful league. Tottenham Hotspur have a rich history in youth development and to bring this expertise to our schools will create a wealth of new opportunities and experiences for our pupils. The partnership will bring huge benefits to both our pupils and our community as a whole. The unique opportunity to work with the coaching team and experience an elite sporting set-up, demonstrates the school’s commitment to driving our football provision to the next level.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Global Football Development team will work alongside the Foundation Staff to deliver authentic training methods developed within the club’s academy, and designed to help pupils reach their full potential. As part of the programme the coaches will monitor the pupils, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their skills so they can play attacking football with the flair, fluidity and passion that are hallmarks of the club. Working alongside Tottenham Hotspur’s staff will also afford a unique opportunity to further the development and experience of our own coaches. With a holistic philosophy that endeavours to develop confident individuals, the programme will complement our foundation aims, both on and off the pitch.

In light of the ongoing Coronavirus restrictions, the Tottenham Hotspur coaches will deliver all their sessions virtually. Pupils will be able to login in from home to join the session and the coaches will lead live from the school site, delivering technical training based on a weekly theme. This set-up will continue for the duration of this term’s online learning to ensure the safety of pupils and coaches. We sincerely hope that when we do return to the school site the coaches will be able to get out onto the pitch with the pupils, however, until it is safe to do this, we are confident that the professional coaches will deliver the same high standard of training virtually as they would in person.

Andy Rogers, Head of Global Football Development, said: “We are excited to announce a new football development partnership with The Mill Hill School Foundation, an historic and prestigious school in North London, offering co-education for pupils aged 3-18. We look forward to working closely with the players and coaches of the Foundation as we support and develop the growth of the football programme over an initial 12-week period.”

“The Tottenham Hotspur Partnership Programme has a proven track record of developing players from grassroots to elite level in the UK and across the world; I am delighted we have partnered with such a renowned club, and  I look forward to the seeing our pupils develop. This partnership is testament to a whole foundation commitment to sport and the passion it fuels amongst our community.” Mrs Jane Sanchez – Head Mill Hill
