Meet Miss Goriup, Physiotherapist here at Mill Hill!

Miss Goriup juggles her school commitments alongside caring for GB Fencing and Badminton athletes, and she travelled to the last Commonwealth games in Australia to support the English badminton team!

We spoke to Miss Goriup to find out a bit more about her and her role here at Mill Hill.

What is your role here at Mill Hill?

‘Physiotherapist. I deliver all aspects of physiotherapy from one to one consultations, mobility and recovery sessions, injury prevention and management, pitch-side care and support the sports and medical staff in pupil health and Wellbeing.’

How long have you worked here?

‘Since September 2020. I currently work with British Fencing and have previously supported elite athletes during the Rio 2016 Olympics cycle and at the Commonwealth Games in Australia 2018 as the England Badminton team therapist.’

What is your favourite thing about Mill Hill?

‘The forward-thinking of the foundation in providing top level health and wellbeing care to the pupils and school community, the expert staff I work with and the passionate pupils that are all around, the top-class facilities and of course the new Sports, Health and Wellbeing Suite! (my home) and the beautiful grounds!’

Can you describe Mill Hill in three words?

Community, sporty, constantly striving/growing.’

Can you tell us something we might not know about you?

‘I have worked and lived in independent Schools in Australia and New Zealand which taught me a lot about how different schools deliver sports programmes, boarding programmes and create communities. I loved the outdoor activities the most! Living and working in these environments is why I am so drawn back into working in the academic sector and Mill Hill is an amazing place to do that.’
