Year 2 have been getting creative in task time making shakers out of recycled household items such as bottles and containers.
They experimented with different fillings such rice, chickpeas, seeds etc and chose which filling they wanted to use based on the sound that it created and noticed how the different textures of the food affected the sound.
Once they had created the shaker, they had fun decorating them and produced some wonderfully eye-catching designs.
I was delighted to see the violin club resume face to face lessons this week. The children have been dedicated learners online since the beginning of the school year and it was fantastic to see them come together and play after many months apart. I am so proud of their commitment and passion to learn whilst the lessons have been online, and I look forward to seeing a little performance from them before the end of the term.
