To kick start our new topic in Reception we found a Pikachu bag in our classrooms with special artefacts and a letter from a little girl named Mimiko.
In the letter Mimiko explained she lives in Japan in the city of Tokyo and about her family and her school life.
The children have come up with some amazing questions in response to the letter to find out more. They asked “What do you eat?”, “What is your school like?” and “How do we get to your country? We are very excited to find out more!
Continuing with our topic we have been very creative using paint, tissue paper and watercolours to make blossom trees. The children have loved creating small bridges and pagodas out of the construction materials and/or playdough and sticks.
