Activities Week 2021

Crocodiles on the adventure playground? Clowns in the Chapel? A space station in the Sports Hall and giant biscuit towers instead of Maths and English?! All this can only mean one thing… Activities Week at Belmont! Year 3-6 pupils have enjoyed an action-packed week of challenge, adventure, skill and creativity, all working in their Houses to complete a mind-bending array of activities.

The week aims to bring new experiences to the children and give them opportunities to work and think differently. It has been a week of developing new and existing bonds with teachers and other pupils; increasing their self-esteem and sense of adventure by trying something new; and testing out their own character, leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.

We hope you enjoy the selection of photo highlights above!

We missed our Year 7 pupils, but we are all excited to hear about their week of online activities when they are back in school. They will be glad to know that a residential camping trip is waiting in the wings and we are looking forward to offering this trip in September.

I hope the children have had an enjoyable and challenging week. After such a disruptive and difficult 15 months (and no Activities Week last year) we hope this has been a week they will remember fondly.
