Another great week in Nursery.
The children enjoyed listening to the story ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. We talked about healthy and unhealthy foods and the children tried some new fruit. This linked quite nicely into growing and we discussed which fruits and vegetables grow in the ground or on trees. The children shared with us the fruits and vegetables they grow at home, and we practiced planting in the tuff tray.
The children have been sharing with us their favourite foods, animals, books and toys. They also told us what they would like to be when they grew up. We had some wonderful jobs such as a vet, policeman, fireman, princess and even Father Christmas.
We have been taking part in circle time to encourage the children to talk confidently to their friends. All children spoke in the circle saying their name, their age and what their favourite colour was.
