This week, Year One read the story ‘The Big Red Bus’ by Judy Hindley. We listened to the story carefully and tried to remember the sequence of events. We then recorded the sequence and attempted to arrange the pictures from the story in the correct order. Some of us also labelled the pictures and wrote captions to go with each step of the story.
We also created freeze frames of a character from the story and took photos of each other acting out a scene from the story. Finally, we wrote direct speech inside speech bubbles to match our photos.
In Science, we continued to explore our five senses and thought about how they help us including keeping us safe.
